Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any old adhesive or debris. A smooth base guarantees lasting adhesion.
Dry-fit tiles from the centre of the room outward before applying adhesive. This ensures balanced cuts at the edges and symmetrical patterns.
Use a notched trowel to apply high-quality tile adhesive. Work in small sections (1–2 sq m) to prevent the adhesive from drying before placement.
Press tiles firmly with a slight twist. Use spacers for consistent joint width. Allow adhesive to cure for 24 hours before grouting.
Apply appropriate sealant if specified for the finish type. Buff clean and allow full cure before foot traffic (typically 48–72 hours).
